Five years ago we used this notary to purchase an apartment. They messed up our names in the document (amongst other things). They also messed up the calculation of how much money we owed - it was a significant amount. They were fairly sloppy, but at least the notary offered to make it right by giving us a very small discount on the amount we owed the notary, seeing as how sloppy they were during the process. Fast forward 5 years later and I'm trying to get my documents together to sell my apartment that I purchased with them. I've requested from them my "acte" which is needed for my sale and requested this 4 times now via email without a response or acknowledgement of my email. Beware: I'd highly recommend doing your research and thinking very hard about going with In-Deed Notaire. You'll regret their lack of attention to detail not only during the process, but years afterward as well! Edit: as soon as I posted this review, In-deed started responding to my emails quite well and I now have the information that I originally was requesting!

While the location is convenient and the notaries are definitely knowledgeable, the communication has been frankly awful. I have been hinted that I "ask too many questions" by Patrick, and that is definitely not what you want to hear when you're buying your first property in only your fourth language. For the high notary fee you pay in Belgium (5-6 thousand euros), this is definitely not the level of service I am expecting. Furthermore, I had to often write one, two, three emails asking the same question - and they have made me feel insistent and annoying. Our interaction even ended with me asking a question for a second time, no reply to this day and I had to figure it out by myself in the meantime. Three stars because, in the end of the day, I did buy my apartment, my interests have been upheld by Patrick and Raphael, and I am very happy; but a very low punctuation for communication. Cultural differences cannot be enough to explain it.

Mislead me and did not protect my interests when buying a house. I think they just wanted me to sign the conpromis d le vente so they could get their easy commission . I had to fight just to get them to talk with me after I had signed, and even then the person was clear by their attitude that they did not wish to talk with me. Had I been aware of all the house problems before, then I would never have signed. Even when some problems surfaced before the completion date, Indeed did not want to discuss the problems. They hid under the claim "well we thought you knew what you were doing" yet I am not a professional buyer. I just wanted a house to live in. A notaire should correctly advice, protect their clients interests, and advocate for them : In my case they did not care, and did not advise. Now I have a bill of €100,000 to pay to repair all the problems that I was unaware of in the house. Now I am financially damaged. They are meant to listen and advise their clients in plain language. I do not understand the legal terminology in French, and thought they were explaining this, but instead they said words in English that made sense to them, but had a different meaning to a native English speaker. I hope they take the opportunity to sort this all out.
